[His dream takes place in a church. Not a fancy one or a particularly big one, but it's got a quiet grace about it.]
[The grace is overridden by the fact that Tyki is screaming amidst the wreckage of overturned pews and such things, sounding tortured and terrified and mindless with agony. He's off to the side of the dream, bleeding profusely from his new stigmata.]
[Finally, he falls to his knees, pitches over, and sort of just... is in too much pain to do anything much. It looks like he has finally passed out, but he might simply be unable to react anymore.]
[The memories of his not-long-ago Awakening don't like him very much.]

[There are muffled, stockinged footsteps echoing through the church as she steps down the aisle, hands clasped behind her back.]

[She knows this too well - and so she just reaches out to swipe at the blood. Get it out of his eyes.]

[--and as soon as it looks like the pain is starting to subside, he passes out for real. g-give him a second, he'll be fine. the lights in the church seem to lighten a little in response.]

[There's the sound of shattering glass as the window that she's looking at shatters, sending shards flying to the ground. Except, a few feet before they make impact with the stone floor, they suddenly unfurl into flower petals of various colors.]
[Up ahead, there's nothing but a starry, starry night.]

[he just blinks hazily up, having no idea what's going on, and attempts to pull himself into a more upright position.]

[It crumbles and crumbles, until both him and Road are no longer sitting in a church, but rather just a spot of cobblestone on top of a grassy hill. There are crickets chiming in the grass around them, and a gentle breeze rustles through the air, bringing with it the smell of a summer's night.]
[It's peaceful, for once. Road's way of saying she knows what it's like.]
