[Out in the Spring courtyard Lavi is sitting cross-legged under a large tree, Johnathan sleeping on a blanket beside her. In front of her is a propped up mirror and in her hands is a pair is scissors as she starts to cut down her long hair.

By the end of it her hair is as short as it can be. She runs a hand through it, tugging at a lock by her ear.

[You've got an odd version on your hands, clips instead of a bandanna and electric blue nails. He's looking at the mess of hair on the blanket.] Wh-why cut it off?

It was getting too long. [Looks him over.] Why do you ask?

Well, even if he is he still gets a stare.] I doubt it'll take too long.

Mhm... [Glances away.] It's nice to start fresh. [Many memories from when her hair was long.]

[Looks over to him.] I mean I'll grow into having short hair again. It's been awhile.

[Sits down next to him, picking up the scissors]

[He almost doesn't recognise her, for a moment. But then he sees the baby and the scissors, and any pieces of cut-off hair that might be around.]

Lavi? Hey, you cut your hair.

[Looks over to him and then smiles.] Do you like it? It's a bit rough, I know.

It looks fine. Sort of short, but it'll be easy to keep out of the way, right? [...He's not really an expert on haircuts.]
