*Someone hasn't been taking the recent string of murders very well-- or rather, one victim in particular has him totally in shambles. Pulling himself together and trying to figure out who the murderer was only worked for so long, and after about four days of not being able to sleep Devit's at his breaking point and likely to lash out at just about anything.

He's gone and collapsed in a sitting room with some assorted bottles of alcohol, hoping it would help somehow.
