underwater, and all it's glory. crystal clear lake water, perfectly settled silt, sunlight streaming down in bands over schools of colorful fish. and at the very bottom, there's beds and beds of kelp, seaweed, underwater grasses.
in one of those beds of kelp, there's a Kanda laying facedown in it. the only thing that can be seen of him, though, is his upper torso. everything else seems to be.. hidden.
is he awake? well, his eyes are closed. one can only tell by approaching.]

..that's good, probably. he'll just be kind of. slowly, circling around underneath her. kind of like a shark. but less threatening.]

When she sees Kanda she perks up.

Under her dress her dorsal fin pokes out as she floats there, trying to ignore her tail right now.

[And from somewhere - everywhere? - there is a low, grinding sound. Not unlike that of water sifting through a pipe, or a drain.]

and that sound. something he's always feared. and it's that fear and anger that drives him to dart over to the lake shore. hell, he'll climb up if he has to, to find out who the hell is draining his lake.]
