[There's another hallway with an ominous feel. Unlike last time, there are no markings on the floor, but one of the doors is left ajar. salvationsnox is inside, covered in blood. He died from stab wounds, like some of the last victims, with one particularly large hole through his chest and a crushed mess by his side that could have once been his heart. Also

*Cross can normally mask his emotions well, but after his female counterpart died in the last post, as soon as he noticed Maria's not breathing it's a little too much for him to take.

He's crying. Quietly.*

[musicalgeneral]

[How long will he stay in one place? After a while something resembling color starts to return to her skin, slowly fluttering back to life.]

*Quite a while, it turns out. He doesn't seem to have noticed she's a bit less pale.*

[Will he notice when she finally stirs? Maria comes-to with a shiver and slight gasp, surprised more than scared.]

*He will notice that. He had assumed her coming back immediately like the other Maria was too much to hope for-- so he's a bit surprised. He doesn't think to dry his tears either.*

[musicalgeneral]

[It takes her a moment to notice him, but when she does she's more than a bit concerned.]

[gunlessgeneral]

*Smiles a little*

Didn't think you'd come back so quick.

[musicalgeneral]

[Pauses, then gently wipes away a few tears.]

I wouldn't keep you waiting.

[gunlessgeneral]

Mmm... *Brushes his fingers over her hand, gently.*

I guess you won't remember what happened, either?

[musicalgeneral]

[A flicker of concern, then it's gone.]

...No. Nothing.

[gunlessgeneral]

That's what I thought... No one who's come back seems to remember anything.

[musicalgeneral]

You've spoken with other victims? [Because she's noticed and heard about the murders, even if she hasn't been there to witness the aftermath (until now).]

[He notices Cross's crying first, as he just assumes that Maria's asleep.]

H-hey...

[But he can't really find the words to say more than that, and just stands there for now. It's not normal to see a crying Cross.]

*He doesn't say anything in response. Probably doesn't want to actually admit that he's crying.*

Uh. Hey, Cross. [No, that doesn't sound right either. He hesitates again.] Are you okay there?

[gunlessgeneral]

*It takes him a while to say anything, and he's still kind of. Choked up.*
