[Very pregnant and... giving the white butterfly a very unusual look. I-is that Innocence?]

... where's the fire?

Nowhere? [His butterfly flutters in tight circles, very restless.] I'm allowed to take a brisk walk.

... [He can't help but eye her belly, since. Well. That's something he never expected to see, not with Kanda.]

[Glaring a little. Stop staring.]

Oi.

So sorry. [Very curt apology, though he does stop staring. Don't mind him, he's more of a jerk when he's upset.] You have to be used to that sort of reaction, though, hmm?

[Eh. It's Kanda. Kanda can dish out just as much curt as he can, if not more. That said, she rolls her eyes, ("No, you're not.") And tugs her jacket tighter around herself.]

People are morons. [In other words, yes.]

... And yet, the very same personality. For good or bad. Poor kid.

I'm not a reckless brat like the lot of them. [Eyes narrow.] Yours isn't much better, Exorcist or Noah.

I imagine that's meant as an insult? I can't say I'm that fond of the other versions of myself I've met, but really. And yourself -- what would you do that differs from those "reckless brats," aside from getting knocked up?

Can't differentiate between an insult and an observation? [Ooh. Touched a nerve. Touched a really hot nerve there.] If you'd like me to put your head on a pike, I'd be more than willing.

The two aren't always different coming from the one I know, and so far, it seems the same for you. [He just smiles.] Anyway, I'm afraid I have plans I can't complete without my head, so I'll have to pass.

Your generalization seems more like a personal problem. Or just overwhelming laziness. [She. Really doesn't like being compared to the male versions of herself here. Tch.] Hopefully, they're more productive than whisking through the halls and looking like an agitated mess.

[Have a prying look. One that is... actually rather soft, for a Kanda. What's up?]

Ha, I can't deny all of that. I don't spend my time thinking on the subject.

Long-term plans, luckily, or they would be ruined by this place anyway. [He turns away when she gives him that look, ostensibly more concerned with the butterfly landing on his hand.] Besides, I'm not a mess. In a hurry, perhaps, but not a mess.

[She watches the butterfly land on his hand; half-tempted to reach up and see if it would land on her own.] Any Tyki that is in a hurry is rarely a good sign.

[It might sound like an insult. Honestly, it's truly Kanda's way of asking if there's something wrong. Generally, Exorcists are only in a hurry when something bad has just gone down.]

[Might be a bad idea to try to touch the butterfly right now; it would land, but it would also bite.]

Ah... This isn't a sign of anything worse than this place has been from the start. [He shrugs. The butterfly, normally silent, makes a chattering sound.] Just -- feeling stifled, I suppose. I'm simply taking a walk.

[Only half-tempted, she's not reaching for it. Though, it does get a curious look when it chatters. How odd.]

[Regards him for a moment before gesturing with her head down the hall. Follow me?]

[He raises an eyebrow but follows her, shaking his butterfly from his hand and having it flutter behind.]
