[ it is in the middle of the night that you suddenly realize that you’re not sleeping so soundly in your bed anymore. Surrounding you are walls, walls that zig and zag and overlap dizzyingly and rise so high up that you can’t see the ceiling. To make things worse, there seems to be no other way out besides the road ahead, leaving you with the ( Read more... )

[Usually the horror hall has the courtesy to have a door entrance, not a dream one. Or is this some new trick of the dressing room? Either way Tyki's sort of glad he's currently dreamed himself fully clothed--be a bit awkward to run around in his birthday suit or something.]

[So a maze. Might as well strike out... Follow the left path for now. See where it all leads.]

[ hmm? Tyki? In her dreams? How very strange. But perhaps . . . well, one can always have some fun with this. No harm in teasing comrades a little bit, now, is there?

Ahead of Tyki, there is a faint giggling that sounds suspiciously like Road's, as well as the sound of feet pattering and scampering ahead. The sounds occasionally rise and fall, similar to a radio's connection in a storm. ]

[Plenty of harm, he'd like to go back to sleep. He needs his beauty rest my dear. But all the same he pauses.]

[Well, that explains a few things, right? Really he should have assumed Road from the start. But he's not going to immediately follow the sounds. As much as it pains him, he's come to not trust new or unknown Road's right off the bat--at least not in strange creepy hallways. Still, where else is there to go but to follow? Might as well not stall.]

[ even if he hadn't followed, the sounds would have stayed ahead of him. But as he's following, the giggling starts to get louder and louder, shriller and shriller, the footsteps more panicked - yet they never seem to get any further from Tyki than they already are. It's almost as if the girl ahead of him is playing a bad game of tag with someone. Someone with not all good intentions. ]

[Road glances around uneasily. Something about this place reminds her of the time she found herself in Miranda's dream world, only without the clocks.]

H-Hello? Is anyone here? [A moment later she curses herself, inside her head, for not keeping quiet. But it can't be helped now, so she sets off down the left path, hoping that she'll find her way out quickly.]

[We're always meeting like this... In the logic of dreams Tyki is just abruptly there by her side, smoking a cigarette and, well, alas it's not her Tyki, but obviously the Noah one.]

A better question is, where's the exit?

I don't know. Did you just wake up here too?

I did. It's catching, isn't it? [He offers her his arm.] We always seem to meet in these sorts of places.

[it takes him like two seconds to make the obvious assumption]

Dammit, Road--!

Well it could be someone version of you with her powers. Or perhaps an evil cheating lad.

[Yeah who is he kidding. Also why is he standing on the ceiling? Or is it Devit on the ceiling? He can't tell.] You did remember to give her a birthday present, didn't you?

Why me?? . . . Uh, when's her birthday?

[looking up at Tyki, or down, or something; in that dream way of things, is suddenly a woman]

[Nice view of cleavage from here at least. Too bad it's Devit's.] It was last month. [He's decided this is somehow Devit's fault.]

Why not you. Can you get down here?

*Squinting into the distance; he's not wearing his glasses, no one wears glasses when they're sleeping.*

... Great.

[ unfortunately for Komui, it's barely bright enough so that he can only see the path ahead. In the distance, he should be able to hear the faint sound of a breeze, calm and peaceful ]

*That's inviting enough, so he won't be too cautious when walking towards it.*

[ as Komui walks closer and closer, there is the faintest sound of water brushing against rock, and perhaps the sound of seagulls as well. It seems you're due for a day at the beach, dear Komui. ]

[Dressed in this, she seems more bewildered by the fact that she's dreaming at all, and aware of it.]

[ Miranda, Miranda, Miranda. It never does good to just stand by while there's a perfectly good corridor ahead of you. Why don't you go down it now, hmm? There's a very familiar sound of giggling ahead - your darling sister's, sounding very, very happy. ]

[She blinks at that, surprised, then smiles. Maybe Road's just playing with her, somehow. She starts down the hall, happy as always to see her sister.]

[ it seems as though Road is indeed playing a game. As soon as Miranda gets close enough to the source of the laughter, it begins to fade away, the sound of pattering feet accompanying it. But she might want to watch her step - as she continues down, the light grows darker and darker. ]
