[out in one of the courtyards, there's the sound of soft singing; it sounds like a children's song, and the voice is light and sweet. However, there's no one to be seen in the whole courtyard

[Miranda has not been feeling very well since her break up with Bookman, but she always enjoyed quiet walks... The singing lures her over right away, but she has no idea what so ever where its coming from.]

[he hasn't noticed her there yet, so he just keeps on singing, a little bit off key]

[She finally reaches the tree and leans from side to side, looking for the source. When she notices him she gasps.]

Allen! What are you doing all the way up there?!

[squeaks in surprise] Miss Miranda! I... climbed up here because there was a squirrel and I wanted to visit him.

[broken_clown]

[the singing stops immediately, and after another moment of rustling, a wide-eyed face peeks out from the leaves] Hi?

Oh! Puppies! [he leans forward so far to see them that he nearly falls out of the tree]

...What're ya doin' up in a tree, sprout? [doesn't have the baby or the dog with him today]

[there's a little sound of surprise and Allen's head peeks through the leaves] Lavi! Oh, I climbed up here to visit a squirrel.

A squirrel? [stares] Why?

[smiles and shrugs] I just wanted to see him. He ran away, though.

[Napping under said tree. zzzzzzzzzzz]

[Nose twitches when a maple leaf lands on his nose]

[there's a little laugh and the singing starts up again - Allen hasn't noticed that Lavi's there, probably because looking down makes him feel dizzy]

[Blinks open his eye sleepily. Allens and their singing/humming]

You work part time as a bluebird?

[have a little squeak of surprise, then a pair of bright silvery-blue eyes peeking through the leaves] What's a bluebird?

[the singing stops at the sound of a voice, and there's a silent moment before Allen answers timidly] Yes, up here.

[another moment of silence, then Allen peers out from the leaves] It is? Thank you.
