[She scowled at the thought, but there didn't seem to be any imminent danger of her punching him. On the contrary, small fingers reached for his face once he was closer to her height, touching those wrinkles and the burn marks.]
[He pulls her into an embrace, letting the cane hit the floor and using her for leverage. Its tighter than normal because of the recent ordeal, and he's relishing the thought of it actually being her there instead of a shadow. He brushes her hair and gives her a smile.] I know you wouldn't.
[A little frown, because she'd never seen them before - but it's not too difficult to remember who she's talking to, and what other abilities he gained from all the Memories in his head.]
You never told me about them.
[She lets him hold her, still looking at him quizzically. He's hurt worse than he's telling her, she can tell that much, and is waiting for an explanation.]
They didn't need a mention. [Which is true. He could count the number of times on his hand where he didn't wear the disguise.]
[He leans back putting his hands on either of her shoulders.] Come now, what's with that face?
[He fumbles around for the cane. He knows she's waiting for an explanation, but doesn't quite know how to word it.] You know this place. Never likes to be stale. Always has to keep one guessing.
[Maybe that's true, but Road is incurably nosy when it comes to family. Especially him.]
Sit down before you fall over, Tyki. [It's aggravating seeing him having to make such an effort. She doesn't think he should be in this state in the first place.]
...did you go exploring that labyrinth on your own? Or was it Exorcists again?
[He agrees with you, Road, he really does. But he's rather tired of sitting on the floor, so he'll stand.] This floor will do nothing for my back, you know? How about we find something more comfortable.
Horror hall. I believe that is what they are calling it, anyway. A hallway here the moves around. Got stuck in it once before. It was irritating. This time, well, it was a little more deadly and but yet kept the same level of its irritating charm.
Okay~. [And her door pops up behind them, because walking as an option seems like it's out. She'll keep him in her room where she can keep an eye on him.]
Horror hall? That sounds like it should have been more fun than this. [reaching up to poke a finger at his lack of stigmata. Be glad she's leaving his poor ribs alone for once. And at least she's not asking for more details for now.]
[He can walk. It is just slow and a bit on the wobbly side. And he probably has never been so happy to see her room. He calls dibs on the couch.]
Truly a delight I assure you. [Blinks when the finger touches his head.] Ah, well, they are still there. No doubt about that, you know. I think they just want some vacation time.

[He's keeping distance. Out of arms range at least for the first few minutes.]

[She's sure she hasn't done anything to get Tyki in trouble recently. And good luck with that, Tyki, she's stalking towards you.]

Well, perhaps not exactly your fault, but one sharing your face.

...you managed to drain all of them?

No. Not exactly. ... Mostly just the Boss's.
[And look at that, he left a box of cigarettes next to the couch the last time he was here. Going to light one.]

What were you fighting?
[It's more rhetorical surprise than a real question. And isn't he glad she didn't throw them away? Only for him.]

My, my, not I'm not sure. A shadow. But that really isn't an accurate description, now is it? Had a nasty habit of taking on your face.
[And he inhales deeply. Letting the smoke warm his lungs. The amount he has consumed of late can't be good for him.]
