[today the dressing room is being greeted with a rare occasion, a definite change from the norm; filtering through the halls from some far-off room in the back of the West Wing is the distinct sound of Violin music. not piano - violin, if a slightly less beefed up and more classical version

[unless she says something, he probably won't notice her, sorry. too busy being generally aggravated at his inability to play anything properly at the moment.]

[he glances over, still playing, and offers a polite smile. total business expression.] Thank you. I haven't practiced in awhile, so I thought I probably should.

How long have you been playing the violin?

[selfdeluded]

Hm... [he hits another sour note and resists the urge to scowl.] Since I was a kid.

[felinedance]

I see. [her ear twitches a bit at the sour note] It does sound like you're a bit out of practice.

[selfdeluded]

I'm... usually a bit better.

[if she happened to watch carefully enough, she might notice the way his fingers twitch every so often, slight tremors in his limbs. he's good at covering it up, but withdrawal is still kind of a bitch.<]

[felinedance]

[she is watching. And carefully]

Are you ok?

[selfdeluded]

I'm fine. [he smiles-- the exact same expression as the one from a few moments before.]

If you say so.

[selfdeluded]

[he nods, as if to confirm this, before going right back to the playing, doing his best not to hit too many bad notes.]

[and her ears twitches when he hits a few bad notes, but otherwise keeping quiet.]

[it's a good thing the tourists back home are idiots, or he'd never get any cash when this kind of thing was going on - even if it still bugs him on a personal level.]
