Not that he's going to leap into flames or anything, but here's one 'shifter drawn by the heat, regardless.]

[Alma doesn't notice him right away, mind still focused intently on feeding the pages to the fire, watching them burn.]

If I may make a small suggestion, if you're going to make something you're going to end up burning later, you might want to keep any identifying words and such off the main cover.
