[In the middle of this hall is am overturned bottle of wine. It's empty. It isn't a particularly good year, or even a good brand, but it's empty. Further down the hall is another bottle, also empty. And even further down the hall is an empty bottle of whiskey.
Even further down? Well, that's where the hallway comes to a small, tucked-away bar -- it might even be your own private bar, who knows? -- and sprawled out over the length of the bar is a very drunk, and very happy vampire.
And he's singing what is unmistakably some Irish drinking song.
Nope, there will be absolutely no angsting folks, just a very happy vampire celebrating something that he plans on keeping a secret. Not that it's anything earth-shattering, anyway. Just compiled the greatest list in the history of books that he's going to stuff into a brand-new library. But shh: that's a secret.
