[Hear that? It's definitely a piano, tinkering out a low melody. The tune is rather sad; soft and even, for the most part, at least until the player's fingers fumble and repeat the chords over again

[There's a distinct ping in the air when Aren approaches, and Allen looks slightly startled.]

Hello... Aren-chan. [Name is weird on his tongue. Of all the Allens here, this one is the LEAST likely to pull some weirdo mojo on a kid] I'm Allen.

[scrambles to get up on the piano bench most of the Exorcists wouldn't hurt him, but he doesn't know not to go say hi to the Noah as well] Hi Allen! It's... [parroting the greetings he's heard] nice to meet you!

[He's trying very, very hard not to visibly shrink away from the new presence on the bench. Chibi Yu used to have that problem, at least until Breath!Kanda proved to her Noah are bad. Likewise, he picks the whiskey bottle up and sets it on top of the piano, to keep it out of reach of little hands.]

[Sob. Don't mind how awkward that sounds.]

[shrugs his shoulders and kicks his feet a bit. He'll be told eventually, but hasn't just yet.]

You play the piano? That's cool!

I do.... [Sob. He can't remember how to talk to a kid.] Do you want to hear a song?

Oh! Oh! A song! [claps his hands]

[He stares blearily at the keys for a moment, trying to think of something happier to play and settles on a lullaby.]

[fidgets in his seat until Allen starts playing and then just stares at Allen's hands playing the keys. After a few moments his eyes will start to droop though]

[Noticing the little one's eyes drooping, and so he lets the tune morph itself into something a little more upbeat.]

[goes quickly back to smiling] I like this song! You were being so sad before. You should be happy!
