[It's raining Tyki! Or at least one Tyki. He lands right on his ass in the hall, looking rather hobo and entirely surprised.]

... Oi, this place gets weirder every day.

[Wincing and climbing gingerly to his feet, he looks around.] Never seen this place before. [He starts patting down his pockets, looking for something.]

And what exactly did you do to deserve getting shoved out a wind--- [Looks up. Yes, that's right. Indoors.] Nevermind.

[You know he's kinda used to duplicates, but something tells him you aren't the one he knows. Maybe it's the lack of the aura of fucking batshit.]

Fell off a tree. ...A very big tree which is apparently nowhere to be seen. Got a light? [He's got the cigarettes.]

[That would probably it. More 'lumbering sloth' than 'batshit'.]

Aren't you a little old to be playing tree house? [Fishes in his coat and hands a pocket of matches.]

[That's probably it. Though it just leaves him more confused internally.]

Apparently not. Thanks. [He takes it and lights his cigarette, than hands the matches back.] So if this isn't the tree, or the Wilderness, where is this?

[Oh, he'll love this place then.]

Don't mention it. [Pockets them and grins. Time to play one of his favorite games.] Take a guess. I'm gathering a list.

[Love it like a hernia.]

Ah. Well. I suppose since I was falling this might be the fourth floor. But I think only the elevator goes there.

[He ponders for another moment, puffing on his cigarette. His tone is light-hearted enough.] Or I could be dead again and you're a dream. Or a hallucination induced by Aurora's cooking.

Are you a hallucination?

Second floor. Or, maybe the third. It isn't like anything is labeled.

[You shouldn't give him ideas, really.] Why, yes. Your inner self actually here to give you advice. First off, perhaps you should stay away from any cooking that causes you to see hallucinations. Unless of course, she is a rather good cook. Then it might be worth it.

So. Not anywhere I know. That I remember.

[That gets a laugh.] Really? No it's the opposite, he's a terrible cook, but he makes plenty. Any other advice, hallucination-self?

You have a poor memory? Or just a selective one?

Can't blame a person for trying. [Though he looks anything but put out by this fact.] My, my, Aurora, you said? Never would have pegged that for a guy's name. Advice... advice... Stay away from an overly round woman with an umbrella. And I hear the cake colored like a rainbow is quite the treat. Never tried it myself. But you probably should clarify if you want useful advice or not, because I've got both to give.

Well see, I don't remember. [He grins a little, unhelpful.]

No no, it was a good effort. You wouldn't really peg Aurora to be a man by looking at him, either. But that's my brother for you I guess. [Brother by proxy anyway.] Round woman umbrella, rainbow cake... Which is which, on that scale? I'll do with any advice, I'm not picky. Useful can be sensible but it might be boring.

That must be rather inconvenient when determining who to send Christmas cards to.

Perhaps he is really a woman then. Just fooled you all to believe he's a man. [Because really, that is how he explains Cyril.] My, my, that is for you to figure out. If you want amusing, then the cake is for you. Sensible would be staying away from the round woman.

I'm sure you've at least gathered that this isn't home. Wherever that may be.

Christmas..? [Oh Ping, that's some holiday or other, isn't it?] Well I'm not sure they celebrate that in the tree, lucky me.

Nope, pretty sure he's as much of a man as his twin. Maybe more of one. and I've unfortunately seen for sure that the second is male. [Don't ask, but it's innocent!] Alright. What does the cake do that's so fun?

I was getting that impression somehow. Lack of a giant tree was my first clue.

Now, now, you don't even remember the holidays? How hard did you hit your head? And usually not in the tree, you decorate one.

Perhaps it is unwise then, to let your siblings get you plastered and then play strip poker. It usually ends poorly if the drunkedness is one sided. [Even if it is, he won't pass up the opportunity to mock.] Anything and everything, depending on its mood.

There are giant trees. Perhaps you can find a substitute. Even carve your name on it.

Afraid not. Should I? I didn't hit it... That I remember. Memory's just a tricky old thing, in the Oak.

I only wish the circumstances had been that amusing. [He can't blame you, other himself.] Anything and everything? Give an example, curiosity demands, and all.

Nah, I think one giant tree in my life's probably more than enough.

As long as your new memories aren't also slipping out of your skull, I suppose. Would be rather unfortunate to have a sliding window of memory.

No, then do tell. I'm afraid I'm a horrible guesser when it comes to these things. [I'm sure if the roles were reversed, he'd get a taste of his own medicine.] Ever fancy being an angry dog that still wants to smoke?

... Most people don't get much attached to trees. Statements like that are better left for misbehaving children and ex-wives.

Well I couldn't say. Seems it's all chancy, when it comes down to it. Never know what you might get back, what might go.

It involves hatchin' outa cocoons, me. [Oh he would, most likely. What's the fun if there isn't teasing?] A sticky and naked affair that I don't recommend, probably not even with a beautiful woman. ...Cake turns you into a dog. This I gotta see.

I think it's the other way around, the tree getting attached to us. Please tell me there aren't any ex-wives lurking around, though.
