[Mum wears the pants in the family. True story.] ...I said I didn't have an interest in the field of robotics. There's only so much you can do before you're pushing the limits of what is sentient and therefore, alive.

[Is anybody really surprised?] I wouldn't think your parents would be too fond of robots anyway, they've had some bad experiences with them thanks to someone.

[techblades]

[Nadda says all.] Mum fainted when I rebuilt the toaster...

What's so bad about a toaster? Your mother is tougher than that.
