Allen thought that he missed it more honestly, but when he's faced with the loss of being able to hear, see, feel, move like he was used to... It doesn't hold so much joy as he thought it would, he feels way too vulnerable to go very far from those he knows he can absolutely trust. So he's always with heartsbook, selfdeluded, besomeothername, shelikestotease, or historyandblood. Then there's that whole thing with eating, god he hates eating solid foods even more than he did as a vampire. His stomach is unused to solids, not processing them like they should, and the size of his stomach is small. While he loves eating it he still hates so very much having to throw it up because it won't sit, leaving him to think that maybe he should have eaten more solids as a vampire.

And while he missed the sunlight and having a heartbeat... It's just not the same! Sure the sun is nice but not being able to share it with his twin or his older brother? Seems so damned unfair to them. He can't feel the ping that lets them know they're near, nosing doesn't feel the same... And as for heartbeats? He can't feel his own, can't really hear anyone elses, such a calming sound that he doesn't get to hear anymore or at least as well. So all together he's feeling vulnerable, hungry, and lonely.
