Meme! Boys who finger gun edition!
1) Turner has never really considered any girl he’s ever known his girlfriend, but he doesn’t think about them as hook-ups either. They’re sort of just girls he happens to date, nothing too serious and not so casual as to be disrespectful. He has, as a result of this, never really “broken up” with anyone, usually they just sort of split up organically after a while. He has also never dated any girl he considers a friend.
2) Turner has never hit anyone, but he has come close a few times. One particular incident that involved his sister, when she was a high school freshman, a senior baseball player, and the back seat of an obnoxiously expensive sports car comes to mind. The sports car was later dragged out of the oasis. Rhapsody was not impressed with the water pollution. But Turner pointed out the sports car itself was not very environmentally friendly.
3) Turner is extremely good at remembering names and faces. He has never forgotten anyone’s name, or not recognized someone after he met them.
4) He may or may not know how the entire class schedule got reshuffled so that Requiem and Rhapsody would be in all the same classes two weeks into a miserable (for at least one person) sophomore year of high school . Oh and, how all three of them managed to get Friday afternoons clear of classes is still a mystery of course.
5) Turner learned to drive from both his parents pretty much as soon as he was able to reach the peddles. Legal age, shockingly, does not carry much weight in his household. Incidentally, the exact legality of his driver’s liscense is still a bit debatable. But it looks pretty genuine, no one can deny that.
6) He can actually cook a little. Not anything complicated, but he can use a frying pan without having to go to the hospital because his hands are covered in blisters (Journey taught everyone an important lesson about oven mitts with that particular incident). Saffy finds it quite ironic that her son is more domesticated than she is in a way.
7) He is not overly fond of hospitals at this point. Though he doesn’t mind being a patient if he must, he’ll avoid them otherwise, especially if it comes to visiting loved ones in them. He’s still not totally sure how Elise spends three to six hours there almost every day, but he definitely respects her for it.
8) Though quite athletic Turner has absolutely no interest in organized sports with teams and rules.
9) He still stands by a statement made by his six year old self: Humphrey Bogart is a chump for letting Ingrid Bergman get on that plane.
10) He’d still really like to know just how his mother got the math teacher’s car up onto the school roof when she was his age. The best explanation he’s gotten so far is that she was asking for it for making Snow cry over fractions.
Finch King
1) Finch is extremely unconcerned with physical appearance in others or himself. He doesn’t actually really notice or care what a person looks like after he’s begun interacting with them.
2) Finch has quite a few small scars and has broken six different bones, mostly sustained from falling or jumping off things in his childhood and teenage years.
3) In elementary school he probably turned up more often with his shirt on backwards or inside out, or both than he did with it put on correctly. When you’re the fifth child out of six, your parents don’t necessarily take the time to help you dress after you develop sufficient coordination to do it on your own. When said fifth child is Finch, you don’t necessarily have the intelligence to use said coordination to put on clothes as they should be. It rarely mattered since Finch is not overly fond of shirts anyway, and when at all possible he would forgo them entirely (his parents took a few calls about this from school)
4) He’s never dated anyone who wasn’t blonde. This might be the only minor exception to statement 1.
5) Unlike his father or his cousin River, Finch did not agonize at all before proposing. Which is probably why it struck him especially hard when Meredith said no. Funnily enough, in spite of his experience proposing the first time, he didn’t agonize over proposing to Tammy either. He bounces back fairly well all things considered...
6) As a celebrity chef Finch’s restaurant is renowned for two things. The first is particularly spicy food. The second is strange/exotic dishes, or ones that just have bizarre combinations. Crocodile Curry with chocolate sauce is a particular specialty of the house, and probably had nothing to do with the fact that, at the time that it was invented, the chocolate sauce just happened to be dangerously close to the tabasco in the cupboard.
7) Both his daughters are complete daddy’s girls. And, in turn, they both have him completely wrapped around their fingers.
8) Finch would have failed out of high school completely at least three times, and quite happily, if it weren’t for family intervention. River spent seven hours helping him write one of his more important assignments the first time. The next two, no one quite knows what happened beyond the fact that Saffy was heard to mutter "Oh for the love of- I'll just do it myself!" less than 24 hours before Finch's quizzes started getting surprisingly, almost suspiciously, good grades for an entire month.
9) Finch hates the snow, he loves the beach. The whole family still goes on vacation to Twikkii island whenever possible. His elder daughter has inherited his love for the sun, sand and surf. The younger one usually just sits huddled in a towel with her nose in a book the whole time. This doesn’t bother her father at all, to each his own dude.
10 ) Look, he’s already explained. He didn’t know they were cops ok. It was in high school, and it's not like the aardvark was hurt, and the skateboard didn't run anyone down. Can we let it go already?
