Slideshare hates my LJ this morning.

Jul 12, 2009 10:30

So apparently it's National update week and that was a bit too much for my LJ to handle and this morning it decided to shift everyone's slideshare/authorstream entries up one. Like so:

This would be part 2 of the RR, under part 1.

Di's Asylum, under Part 2.

And Vetinari update under Di's Asylum. I can only assume if I'd gone to the next page Elle's BC would be under the Vetinari header.

Which I didn't realize until I was midway through Part 2 of the RR chapter, under the header of part 1, being slightly confused by how fast the children had seemed to grow up (mornings are not my best time, don't judge me). It was weird and I still can't make it stop doing it. Hopefully it will sort itself out sometime during the course of today so I can actually read Part 1 of the RR, which is currently no where to be found on my flist because there is no slideshare above it for it to move to apparently.

Speaking of the massive number of updates this week. I have loved all the chapters but might be a little late reviewing this time around because of busy-ness. I started work yesterday, and I'll be working 10 hour days (though not every day this week, in fact I am currently off until Thursday) most of the summer. Oh! And I learned how to use a cash register, and it took me all of an hour, so I have now decided I have no pity for the eternity it seems to take my sims to even earn a bronze cash register badge. Although I will admit the cash register on the other side of the store was harder to use. I know this because I at about five I ended up wandering over and switching with a girl over there for a while to hang out with my friend Justine, who I've known since we were three years old. I can only assume it's a total coincidence that our boss/her mother put us as faaaaaar away from each other in the shop as she could possibly get us. It certainly has nothing to do with the fact that we are, and always have been hazards to each other's concentration. And this was certainly not what our boss was thinking when she walked by us shaking her head *looks shifty*

Anyway, apart from that, my cousin Erin is arriving from Canada today. My mother's sister sort of just told her she could come stay with us for two weeks without asking my mother if this was ok so...that'll be interesting. I haven't properly seen Erin in a few years, but she's never been my favourite cousin frankly. But since my parents work all day (though miraculously they are actually here for the next two weeks), that leaves Max and I to entertain her. I'm really not sure what that's going to involve, since we are an extremely small town with not much to do. But I'm sure we'll figure something out :-). But anyway, that's probably going to keep me slightly busy for at least the next two weeks. So if comments and other such things are a little late in coming for this round of wonderful updates and any others that slideshare might decide to actually, you know, share with me properly, sorry in advance!

How's everyone else's weekend?

real life, update
