I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...
It's SNOWING OUT! *hem* I'm ok. But seriously Snow! Yay! I'm excited about this for some reason. I was walking around in it today and it's only sort of snow so far, it's not sticking or anything, so mostly everything is just wet (including me). But we might actually have a white Christmas this year! Maybe! I can't remember the last time that happened!
Moving on. Guess who has some picspam!
Ok, so here's the deal I have just spent my ENTIRE day organizing my legacy hood storytelling folder. And when I say entire Day I mean I started at about 11 this morning and finished at 7 at night. Having taken breaks for Lunch, going out to pick up christmas wrapping paper etc., granted. But my point stands. My photo folder was overwhealmingly huge and it was sort of funny to be able to gradually see how I went from taking pics of just what I thought was necessary to pics of EVERTHING! I have a bajillion superfluous photos its unbelievable. But now they're safely sorted into a seperate folder and into categories by generation and age group etc. I'm going to try to keep up with it from now on.
I'm slightly annoyed because I could have spent today doing lots of simming and writing for the next update instead of mindlessly moving things between folders while Youtube videos played in the background (The internet was about the only thing I could have open at the same thing as my massive storytelling folder that wouldn't make everything freeze up, I started off watching all the Charity 'Project for Awesome' Videos that are going up today and ended up watching Britney Spears Music videos and doing upper body dancing in my chair, I don't blame you if you judge me for that, I slighly judge me). The thing was it had to be done because it was getting so big that I could never find anything I wanted. There've been a couple of occasions over the last week that I've thought about sharing picspam but just gave up because my folder was being so unbelieveably slow and/or crashing. Now everything is out except what i haven't sorted in for this coming chapter yet and dammit if I put in all that effort the least I'm going to get out of it is getting to share some picspam! Ok, it's probably not very interesting picspam at this point but I'm going to make myself feel like all that work payed off!
First things first though. While I was going through old pics I kept coming across the pics I had of previous generations. I was awwwing a bit over Aria's baby pics but Saffron and River really were just too cute as Toddlers. And now they're all grown up and about to give me babies of their own. Awwwww.
This is what I have Saffs in at the moment. This makes what, the third hairstyle I've had on her in her lifetime, 4 if you count her having her Mom's hair, which I sort of don't. I'm planning on having it grow out during the update, but I sort of like it on her. And at least it doesn't glitch through her shoulders. If I do return it to long I have a hairstyle very similar to her previous long one but that's not annoying glitchtastic (The hat was slightly glitchtastic too, I'm sort of missing the hat), but now I'm torn. Saffron's hair changing has always happened at symbolic moments so I think it might not be completely out of line for her to keep it short. Or possibly return it to short after she gradutes. But what do you guys think, long or short?

So I keep getting distracted by my couples doing the cuddle thing. I swear if anyone in any house is cuddling the others could all be setting things on fire and I wouldn't notice because I'm busy squeeing. Yes I know I've just included 4 of Lark and Ashley but look at them! Are you looking? Ok good. If that doesn't make you go all gooey and melty inside than I suggest you see a doctor because there is something severely wrong with you. It just makes me go a little melty. AL was worth it just for this. Will try not to overuse it in update but am going to use it a bit.
How Ashley went from being a pain in the ass in my Pleasantview Sim State to one half of my favourite couple in this Sim State I'm still not sure, but just awwww!
I had a weird complication after resurrecting him actually. I intentionally had Lark resurrect him on the Frat Brother's lot so he'd be in their household again, it wasn't because the Greek house doesn't have the money or anything because we definitely do, but for some reason because it was Lark who actually dialed I guess, he added to the Bohemian Greek House. I don't really have room for him unfortunately, so I had to move him out. He basically lives at the Greek House anyway. But instead of moving him back into the Oresha-Cham house I moved him into his own little house until I get around to cheating him through.

Although Ashley has already tried to burn the house down once so far. He put a TV Dinner in the oven and then someone's ACR timer went off and he hopped into Bed with Lark and I just let them be because he had a smoke alarm and I figured they deserve it sine I did kill him and all...
What's interesting is that the Streaker coding apparently overrides the common sense coding. I should have guessed that since naked dancing does not exactly equal common sense.

Maybe it's because it's spring and summer and people have been hooing more than usual but I've noticed that the already existing boundry issues of the cheerleaders and mascots is beginning to get worse. They don't exactly have the best timing for coming to Vo Gerbits in the bedroom.

This was the first time I saw this. I've been aging Gen 3, and Robin was first up and bless her she rolled up the want to play wither her eldest granddaughter and I realized I hadn't actually seen this interaction yet. So I had her whip her around. it's cute how they sort of match.
Anyway, the party was a typical family party, no ACR incidents when everyone is related but I like to call the following episode 'Lark has now aquired a stalker' oserve:
"And then Mommy got as fat as a sumo and then she had me. isn't that interesting Aunt Lark. Aunt Lark are you listening. Aunt Lark?"
"Kid, you're coming between a pleasure sim and her game right now."
"Ok, I'm going to go this way now. Hey Wren! Look it's a kid, you like kids. Want to play with our neice?"
"Uh..."
"Aunt Lark where are you going can I come?"
"Aunt Lark, where are we going? Aunt Lark you're walking awefully fast. Aunt Lark? Aunt Lark?"
"So we're going downstairs huh aunt Lark?"

"So pancakes huh? That's cool, I'll just sit here quietly while you eat Aunt Lark."

Finch has a serious problem with this chicken. He's now stolen chicken lawn ornaments from his parents' house at least a half dozen times. I did a test and kept buying new ones to see how long he would keep stealing them. The answer is indefinitely.
The irony is that Finch is moving back into this house when he graduates so really he's just stealing his own chicken. That's deep. Think about it man!
In other random news Robin has now completed her second LTW by accident and rolled a new LTW to own 5 top level businesses. Of course she would ROLL that now, if she'd rolled it any earlier I might have been tempted to actually try it for her, just because I like her. Of course I don't know if I'd installed OFB when she completed her first LTW... I installed it sometime during Gen 3.
Her first LTW was Criminal masternind which I completed before graduating Gibson so I wouldn't have to worry about her missing work while she went through 5 pregnancies and raised 6 kids. Her second LTW was to earn 100,000 simoleons. I had Robin in the journalist career after she topped criminal, just for fun, and the irony is that because of the kids and the work missing and the amount of times Gibson was fired or demoted from his job in the Music career track, and then with Lark handing over wads of cash to the matchmaker the Kings have been pretty broke for a long time.
My policy on money cheats is that I cheat them just enough to buy whatever house I'm putting them in with a little leftover, not too much, and then they have to work for the rest.
But basically I find it kind of funny that the family has been so broke when Robin has earned 100,000 simoleons. Now they're well off of course because the way she got to that LTW was by getting two big bonuses from chance cards in a row (firing the editor's neice FTW). But all this rambling to say, I might have gone for her 3rd LTW of 5 top businesses if she hadn't rolled it the day before elderifying.
Other than that the second cousins first wave now have a house and I'm sort of enjoying the lack of money thing. I'm going to rotate some of them through the family Greek House to placehold, I haven't decided who yet, because they won't all fit if I move the significant others who I aged up for a couple of them in with them.
But like I said, lack of money challenge is good. For instance I couldn't afford Gym equipement so...
Jump Rope is heels and tight dress really is quite amusing. But she needed the body point.

I still haven't quite figured out what makes them do it autonomously. I would have said Playful points but Daisy here is pretty serious so I'm guessing now Active points, because she's active too...

I'm actually feeling pretty proud of myself in organization, I also sorted my photofolders into seperate simming stuff and RL folders, and I cleaned my desktop and all my simming stuff from there is one folder. And while I was in an organizing mood I was trying to sort out my hood itself. Because I'm tying to work out how I want to organize my apartements. The Oasis valley Hood template, which is the one I use. is pretty expansive and I like the look it gives teh hood of sort of being a wide open space with houses spread across the landscape, sort of lost in the sands. I don't want it to start looking like a city you know? But if you put the apartements down they look ridiculous if they're just surrounded by desert, they need more apartements on either side or houses or something. So I'm thinking I'm not going to put them in the desert itself but in one of the sub hoods. So that leaves me with the possibility of Downtown or Bluewater and I need to figure out what I'm going to do/move around houses etc. I don't have anyone living downtown at the moment but I might at some point. I have a bunch of peope I would move into downtown apartements if they weren't being consolidated with other families. Jay, Emmy and Aimée or Finch or Ashley and Lark... As is I still want to put the apartements down and have them there as possibilies. I'll figure it out. If I don't keep getting sidetracked...
My sidetracking project recently has been this house in bluewater, one of the Maxis premades and I saw it and I knew Snow had to live there, but the more I actually looked the more I realized it needed to be fixed up. And if I think I can improve on a building than you know there's something wrong with it. I urge you all to look at this house next time you're in Bluewater, it's the one up on the hill, I forget the exact name, there's a pond in the back and it's very very pink. Basically this house is symptomatic of a new EP coming with a new build mode theme. You know all those windows and wallpapers etc. that came with OFB that are pink and frosted and sort of have the potential to be Art Deco if they weren't so...Disney land. These are all fine when used with a little moderation and common sense but man were they overused in this building! I mean...wow. Also it bugged me because it was a bit too patchworky, non matching colours, and lack of symmetry of windows etc. Anyway, basically I really liked the concept of the house but the execution was extremely poor, so I've been fixing that up slowly but surely/ I'm a bad builder but I'm an ok decorator so I'm having some fun doing that. And It's giving me a chance to actually look at the new build mode stuff from AL. Some of it is really Art Deco and awesome.
That's plenty of rambling from me! So I'll shut up now.
