Exercise Stuff, Music Stuff, Girl Stuff
1) Exercise: Today I had to wait for the squat rack at the gym. A long-ass time. This guy was doing ladders, where each progressive set gets heavier and heavier while the reps drop. His last set, two reps, was, I shit you not, 500 pounds. That's more than 8 large plates on the barbell. It was so heavy that the bar was bowed and sagging. What the hell? I wonder if I could even stand with that amount of weight on my shoulders.
My squatting weight is now officially up to 60 pounds. Mind you, that's for two sets of fifteen reps, so my max weight is likely higher. I'm probably lifting about 60 % of my max at one time, which would make it about one hundred pounds. Not like I care, but I'm amazed at what the body can handle.
2) Music Stuff: Moving right along. I've decided I'm going to get a MySpace music page and get some stuff up there, and then I can contact local musicians that are into the same thing.
3) Girl Stuff: Well, still no word from the doc. I'm starting to think she may have moved on. I don't know, and I think it's reasonable for me to call her on Friday just to follow up, as by that point it will have been over a week. If she doesn't pick up, I'm on to the next.
I haven't heard from The Chef either, but that's still not a problem. Still have to be patient with that one.
Eh - seems like things are starting to get a bit uncertain with the both of them, so I have to be proactive and guard against weird feelings. Like it or not, they're never far behind. Forget that - I've got other things going on!
