"Wow" is right. That really packed a punch and my gut is 'wrenched'. You really understood the prompt, and I have to agree with tudorrose1533. Neville was the last person I'd have picked if I had taken this prompt. The story flows nicely, it has good imagery, and everyone is in character. I liked that Draco had silenced the paintings - he would do that, wouldn't he? ^_^

Good job! It's classic D/G angst.

OMG...I actually saw the movie and cried in the end. This fic gave me that all too familiar tightening of the throat feeling. Very well written! Marvellous job!

This was a well-done reworking of "Bridges of Madison County." I actually didn't like the movie that much but this has forced me to reevalute the movie a bit. And oh, that moment - when she has to choose - is just so painful and poignant and it was so well captured here. I also love how he used to sit at the tree and they would sit there together. Well done!
