I really like the sad expressions on their faces, very appropriate for a goodbye scene. Also, the fact that they are so close together yet not touchinng is very meaningful.

This is really nicely done. I like how their hands are so close but not touching, and you can practically feel the sadness coming off them in waves. The detailing on the bridge and trees is great, as well.
