You would have been eighteen today )
The letter was so sad! I must admit I thought it was pretty gutsy of you to have him mention the rumors. You handled it well. I wonder if their friendship would've been perceived the same way in the O.Z. as IRL? Consider the Coppertone girl ad from the 1940's. It was cute back in the day, but in modern times Chris Hansen would probably be showing up at the door of the original artist. And that Rockwell painting of the runaway boy! People can't look at it the way they did in the 50's. And let's not even mention Charlie Chaplin. Back to topic, though, I really liked how the situation of the O.Z. is described in the letter, too. Desperate times. Lovely letter. On to part 2!
I'll be honest, I really didn't want her to read it! Awkwardness! XD I thought it was sweet that he ended up reading it out loud and I think the workshop was an inspired background for a first kiss/confession. I was a bit confused by your timeline at first because I always imagine a gap of about 10 years between Az stealing the brain and DG's return (I just can't handle the idea of Queen Lavender endorsing headcasing). Anyway, as usual thanks for sharing your writings! And again, apologies for taking ages to reply. Hopefully this is not the last time we hear from you! :)
