DG watched the sky darken; she had seen many types of weather in the Outer Zone, but not rain. She yearned to watch the sky open and bathe the Earth to help spread healing and health to the wounded lands. She heard enter her room and turned around, a smile appearing on her lips.

Gl-Ambrose, approached her. How often she yearned to call him Glitch but no longer that fragmented man. He had his moments but he was back to Royal Advisor, loyal and wise beyond his years. He had been reunited with his “marbles” after a long and difficult surgery she wasn’t sure he could survive. But with her prayers and the magic that grew between her and her Sister, they made it so.

“Princess,” he greeted her with a small bow, she just smiled and her blue eyes met his dark ones.

“Ambrose, what brings you by?” she asked, and excitement built within her as she heard thunder.

“I’ve come to see if you were ready for our session. Our session, our session, our session, our session-“ she gave him a gentle pat on the shoulder and he stopped. He shot her a thankful and ashamed look. He still glitched from time to time, repeating phrases and even occasionally getting lost but thing he did only in her presence. He found it embarrassing and shameful but she loved it and by the way his cheeks darkened she could tell he knew she did. “Thank you,” he murmured and she grinned.

“No problem Ambrose! Now, what session is this?” she asked, he shook his head, a gentle smile on his lips.

“You’re starting to sound like me on a bad day, Princess, I’m in need of your assistance in building-“

Thunder ripped through the sky again, and she dashed to the window and pressed herself against it. Lightning streaked, but it wasn’t just a flash of light, these were green and occasionally red. She couldn’t help but squeal in excitement. Ambrose looked at her like she was mad as she grabbed his hand and dragged him from her room, down the stairs and to the patio.

She flung open the doors and raced outside, leaving him on the threshold. She spun outside and looked to the sky, willing the awaited drops to fall. Ambrose followed her out into the grass, reaching for her; she swirled away from him and laughed.

“Princess-“

“It’s DG, Ambrose, DG.”

“DG, what in the world are you doing?” he asked, as her laughter warmed him.

“I want to feel the rain in the Outer Zone!” she said, like it was the most logical and simplest answer.

“But why?” he asked, clearly he was perplexed at her actions.

“I want to see if it’s different from Earth rain!” she giggled and as the rain poured down, she became soaked. She tilted her head up and opened her mouth. Drops splashed into her mouth, her tongue swirled to try to taste, much like she had when she was a child in the Earth realm.

Ambrose’s hands pulled her towards him; she was honestly surprised to find him joining her, that he hadn’t left her and stayed out of the storm. He was more reserved, adjusting to his body and mind together again but she noticed he was so peaceful with her. His hands found her waist and she looked up at him, smiling brightly.

“And your conclusion?” he asked, his hair was matting to his forehead; his thick uniform was saturated as she was. This was more like the Glitch she still knew lurked. But by either name or personality, she loved him.

Her lips found his, claiming his mouth and to her surprise and delight he kissed her back as passionately as she kissed him. Apparently Ambrose didn’t object to his Princess’s demands, even a kiss. His hand tangled in her thick, sopping hair and hers wrapped around the back of his neck. He deepened the kiss, his tongue gently tangling with hers. Slowly they broke apart and smiled. She took his hand and began to head back inside and she couldn’t wipe the grin from her lips.

“What was your conclusion?” he asked again, still curious as ever.

“There’s no difference!” she laughed, then tugged him to her and nipped at his ear. “But it does taste wonderful on your lips,” he blushed a furious color and helplessly followed his Princess to his room.
