Y'all, I am so upset. I've been reading other Tin Man pairings, some of which are just fine with me, but I have to confess: I read a Cain/DG story earlier tonight, and I liked it. 1. The constant, perpetual, never-ending TOUCHING. One or the other seems to be always putting hand to arm or shoulder or back, not to mention the hugs. And at the end, with the witch defeated, who's the first to give up and just glomp DG? Oh yeah, that'd be Glitch.
2. RocketShoes' brain-meltingly glorious, adorable fanart. And that's not even getting me started on wee!DG-and-Ambrose3. He's twice her age and probably advised someone on how to change her diapers. Neither of them really remember that for assorted reasons, but it's there and is a challenge for any writer to make work. Built-in potential angst ( ... )

Also Cain was treating DG like a kid and called her kid through most of the series. Glitch never once uttered a 'kid' remark once and his bond to her was deeper than Cain because they had probably shared a friendship when she was a child, but since neither remembers that can't make it awkward.
I just honestly know that Cain is still very dedicated to his wife and DG sympathizes but she's nothing but a kid to him.
I will never, ship Cain/DG because of it doesn't work for me. And I'm extremely sadden that more than half the fandom goes for it when it goes against the wishes of Neil himself.
