The first article I read was called "You're Sick. Now What? Knowledge is power." The article reads easily and I found myself enjoying what I was reading. I don't usually think of myself as someone who would spend his time reading science and health articles, however, the times definitely did a good job of capturing my interest. The article discusses the massive increase in information available to Americans on the internet and simply in general. The article went on to describe cases where people were successful both in using available knowledge and in trusting their doctors. The article was set up in categories such as "the goal is to find an M.D, not become one" or "keep statistics in perspective." These witty titles help break a longer article down and make it easy to follow. Overall this article was interesting and well written.

The second article I read was called "whats behind an FDA stamp?" The article discusses in clear, easy to understand the dangers of believing everything the FDA says. Firstly, the article describes how often times people will claim they have been FDA approved when in actual fact they have used a loophole such as sending a letter. The article then goes on to describe how a couple of years ago, the agency was under attack for taking so long to OK drugs onto the market. This led the FDA to go crazy with what they allowed on the market for a couple of years, before returning to their stringent regulations. The article was written well and allowed me to understand the importance of not believing everything the FDA says.
