If you're happy and you know it...
You crazy kids...going out and tagging me for one of your livejournal things. Whatever you call them. Sigh. (Obviously, though, it doesn't really bother me or I wouldn't actually do it.) Anyway, without further hrumphing, ten things (not really in any order) that make me happy:
1) People who I haven't talked to in months and who I no longer have anything to do with coming up to me and talking to me politely and happily and interestedly.
2) Cats. All colors and genders and (sighs about fat Patches at home) shapes.
3) Working in the theater, specifically with friends. There is no other work experience that I've ever had that brings you closer to people.
4) Being distinctly respected by teachers/professors as a competent person almost on their level even though I'm clearly not as smart as them. Basically, to be the teacher's pet.
5) Being romantic. Not (necessarily) romantic situations, but I personally enjoy behaving romantically.
6) When everything works out for the guy and the girl at the end of the movie. ... It makes me happy, ok?
7) Spending time with my mother.
8) Talking to myself about a wide variety of things (preferably while alone!), ranging from what I would do if I were teaching a class on the American Revolution instead of Reed Browning to what I should do about my romantic/social life to why I am talking to myself.
9) Getting my work done. Ok, ok, it doesn't happen all that often, but when it does I'm really pleased.
10) A special and caring touch. Corny, yes, but it really makes me feel good. Not necessarily a cuddle or a hug, just a touch.
