Grace Pendergast is standing near a table frosting a cake; the cake itself is a vanilla one, with cream cheese frosting, light blue accents and flower-shaped candy. It would almost look too pretty to eat were it not for the tantalizing fresh-baked smell that it's currently exuding.
She finishes up by slicing the cake, then carrying two slices over to the sofa and handing one to Ryan. If either of them were asked, they would admit that yes, it's their birthday today. They're not expecting that many birthday wishes (since they haven't made too many friends here, unsurprisingly), but anyone's welcome to help themself to a slice of cake -- as well as some of the other drinks and snacks that they've set out.
