What you don't know can't hurt you?

Goldfish have memory spans of three seconds. Electra's always found this fascinating: she could take a goldfish out of water and watch it flop and gasp in her hand, drop it back into the bowl a second before it was about to die, and watch it recover, swimming up to her hand and giving it goldfish kisses less than ten seconds later.

Of course, memory can work the opposite way, too-- you remember too much and you're tormented. And it's contemplation of these two positions that has led our favorite Lestrangette to her experiment today.

In the center of the main room, she sets up a prism, sets up a mirror between it and herself, and crouches behind the surface, wand pointed at it. With care, she points her wand to the top of it and mutters "Obliviate!"

Typist: So, crackplot for your enjoyment! Electra's just shot a memory loss spell all across the main room, possibly into other parts of the mansion, and it's likely to hit anyone. The loss of memory can go back to whatever point the typist decides, whether for maximum crack or angst. Since the spell's been shot off so randomly, it's likely weaker than a normal memory spell would be-- meaning that it won't last forever, but just for a few days to a few weeks.
