*somewhere in the main room of the mansion, the body of Erebus Hades (messofinnocence) is pinned neatly to a wall with two knives through his shoulders; he's been shot in the forehead and through the heart, at point-blank range, so the wounds are messy and the blood is copious, and Dio hasn't bothered to clean them up

*...well, this is...by no means...good -- takes a deep breath and sighs, pretty damn mellowed in an instant, and makes his way over to actually sit by Dio on the couch instead of on the floor for once* ...hey.

*offers as much of a smile as he can really manage when there's a corpse across the room that he is trying not to pay attention to* If you don't want to talk about it, I'm not going to ask.

*shakes his head* That's my half-brother. He hurt -- *hesitates* He hurt my angel. So -- I killed him.

*this is officially the first act of violence that has occurred since his arrival, so he'll consider that a moment, actually glancing towards the corpse a moment before simply nodding*

*can't help relaxing a little, and can't keep that faint note of hope out of his voice, either* You don't?

*pauses, then shakes his head again and gives a faint shrug* Maybe I would if I could think of a reason but I don't particularly want to and reasons are lacking. You did what you needed to do, what felt right, in response to something that...shouldn't have happened. That's all anyone could ever expect.

*...nods slowly after a moment* I don't know if I could have done anything else. *smiles, a bit hesitantly* Thank you, though.

I sort of...get it...I guess. Can't say it's what I would've done. ...but can't say it wasn't, either. *gives a slight smile in return* So, you're welcome.

*shrugs slightly* I tried to make it quick and painless. I don't like pain. I just had to do something.
