"Perhaps we just arrived earlier than you." He kisses her cheek with a smile. "Hello."

"Hello. I was wondering where you'd gone."

"Just a bit ahead of you, as you can see."

"Clearly. But how was I to know?"

A shrug. "You could have looked, princess."

She scowls, an expression that utterly fails to be intimidating on her. "I've told you time and time again not to call me that."

"Whyever not?" A grin. "It's amusing."

"It is not. I don't like it, and if you are not careful I shall kick you. Ask Dmitri. He wouldn't stop, either." The scowl is beginning to look more like a pout, and she has to crane her neck to look at him.

He laughs and kisses her cheek again. "Do forgive me, citizen. I think I have quite enough bruises from you for now."
