*shakes her hand* Andrea. -- I'm afraid that's not my focus, but I'd be quite interested in the outcome of this argument, as I am a lawyer.

*smiles* A pleasure to meet you, Andrea. Papa dislikes lawyers. He says that they are 'cheating and materialistic, and should never be trusted'.

*tilts her head* I do not think you are like that, though.

You can call me Andy, if you want. *is about 32, for the record* And as far as I know, I have never yet cheated. On anyone or about anything. So. *slight shrug, but there's a smile in her eyes*

Up to you.

*contemplates her for a moment, with a little pause*

I believe that everyone -- no matter how black-hearted -- deserves a chance at life. I am quite naive, however, as my brother tells me. He thinks that certain (a great many, in fact) people deserve to die. *slight frown*

I believe that child molestors, rapists, child murderers- should all die. Slowly and painfully.

Not murderers who kill annoying people and eat parts of them? Excellent.

But -- *has had this argument with the brother a thousand times, apparently* -- *plaintively, but without much hope of winning* Who are we to judge whether others live or die? Besides, there are worse things than death; death is the end of all mortal suffering, after all.
