"Ceri!" He runs up. "You didn't find me. Where is this?"

"I found you now. Stupid. You just wander off anywhere!"

"It's the game not to be found. But this ain't the farm."

"We're not playing a game," almost angrily. Not that Ceri would ever, ever admit she's been worrying. "Of course it's not."

"We just were, you said!" He frowns. "What is it, then. Ceri, you're acting funny."

"I did not. I haven't seen you in weeks, and you show up and you're thinkin' of some kinda silly game--"

He tugs his earlobe. "We just went out a half hour back. Ma was makin' tarts and told us to get out from underfoot."

He frowns. "Not more'n."

He scowls at her a bit, in lieu of sticking out his tongue. "You've still never said where we are now."

For a moment she's torn--admit ignorance or be lordly-know-it-all-big sister?--and then says, finally, "I don't know."

He rubs the smudge on his nose. "How can you not know?" Because as satisfying as it is to hear Ceri admit she doesn't know interesting... nothing about this is making sense.
