In contrast to her sister's, Kaat's entrance is marked by the clicking of boot heels. They're stilettos, intimidating, lacing up to the knee where fishnet takes over. The fishnets, in their turn, end at the thigh, just below the hem of a black skirt. Above the skirt, a black leather corset.

"Now, we went over the checklist last time," she's saying

Dio doesn't entirely manage to stifle the quiet snort of laughter; his crooked grin is almost completely automatic, an instinctive reaction to someone new. "Hi. Lost your way?"

"Juuust a little. Also my client." She offers a hand to shake. "I'm Kaat."

[waragainstfaith]

He shakes her hand, of course, firmly, and presses a kiss to the back of it (it's habit) before releasing it. "Pleased to meet you, I think. Diomedes Hades."

Kaat is mildly surprised by the handkiss, considering that the only people who usually do that are her clients (and only if she orders them to,) but smiles. "Nice to meet you. So, since it looks like I'll be sticking around a while, how do the locals waste their time around here?"

That'll get another quiet laugh out of him. "That depends. There tends to be a hell of a lot of murder around here, though."

"Murder?" She frowns uneasily. "Christ, when will people learn to keep their violence consensual and non-fatal already?"

[waragainstfaith]

He shrugs, now studying his fingernails for some form of distraction. "Most people here aren't particularly violent. It just so happens that the ones that are overshadow those who aren't. It's usually a Hades thing."

"Sort of a fitting name, then, isn't it?" She still looks unsettled.

[waragainstfaith]

A faint, crooked grin. "Very." And a brief pause. "Before you ask, I'm not generally one of the violent ones."

"Thank you for the assurance. I'd have asked, but, er, 'are you a psychotic fucking insane killer?' isn't usually considered to be especially polite, I don't think." Kaat relaxes a little, enough to smile at him again.
