Caranthir enlists Maeglin's help before he visits Curufin in the basement.

Having been advised that Curufin wants to see him through Anita Blake's intermediary, Caranthir shows up at the basement after a talk with Maeglin. He and Curufin have words, it's not pretty, Curufin overpowers him easily since Caranthir still has a broken arm from the Golem crackplot and escapes. Caranthir is helped by Maeglin and Jaenelle and ends up being beer buddies with Maeglin, strangely.

After his escape from the basement, Curufin runs into Pandora. Her attachment to Celebrimbor leads her to taking drastic action.

Caranthir and Celegorm find out that Curufin made it out of the basement, there are a lot of caps, and Cara comforts the same brother as usual.

After Curufin's escape, he and Cara enjoy a lovely confrontational moment. Woo! In which Curufin is manipulative and Caranthir resists.
