Back to School

Started my day with a one hour delay. That was great! Got to school at a great time and was able to get some stuff done before the kiddles arrived. Everyone, including the kids, looked quite rested. I had a great day with the kids and their brains were recharged and they were absorbing information. I was nervous about teaching the moon cycle to the kids, but it went much better than expected.

Went and directed in Cumberland after school. I'm doing Honk Jr at Mercymount Country Day. The kids are great. They really remembered a lot considering we hadn't worked the opening number since the start of December. The show goes up the first weekend of June. Hopefully, I'll get the show blocked in time. We only rehearse Mondays, which is hard because of Holidays and such. I feel we've lost a lot of time. We'll see though.

Went grocery shopping, came home, made some dinner, and just unwound. It was great.

Brian and I are looking at townhouses. We can't really do anything until my lease is up at the end of June so we won't do any serious looking till the end of April. It's still nice though to get an idea of what we can afford and what our place will potentially look like. It's a huge step and very exciting. We might have an appointment to look at one on Saturday.

Watched the Oprah special on TV tonight. It's amazing to see what those poor children in Africa go through. I really want to tape it when it re-airs so I can show it to my students. I think it would do them good to see how well they have it here. The whole thing was very moving and inspirational. As self centered as I think Oprah can be sometimes she does do so many great things.

I have also gained interest in the African culture because Brian's sister's fiancee is trying to get over here from Cameroon. His name is Abdu and they are getting married on May 20th. She met him while involved with the Peace Corps. I find the whole thing fascinating and can't wait to meet him.

Well time for bed.
