in other news, things are pretty good. I took time yesterday to visit with my dad (he loved the barbeque mitt, utensils, and sauces Mel and I got for him). Mel found out she had to work last minute, but i took Jason with me down to visit my parents. It was pretty fun, we helped my dad finish up the horseshoe pits he's been working on and threw a few games (my dad is really good, so he kicked our asses each time) then we went out on the boat with the whole family and took a quick swim before i had to get back to charlotte to pick Mel up.
A fun trip overall, but it would've been better if Mel had come along and we wouldn't have been rushed. C'est la vie.
I found a quicker way back though, so we made pretty good time (shaving an almost two hour trip down to one)
