Bloody walls

Aug 09, 2005 06:19

Once, when I was 10...I was skipping down the hallway in school, tripped on my shoelace and slammed into the wall. My front tooth went through my bottom lip and I got a hefty concussion. They didn't clean my blood off the wall for like a week...I think they left it up to remind me what a dumbass I was.

Which reminds me....

I broke my bed (ar)rest rules and went to Ozzfest at Alpine Valley. Fuck it. I got to lay in the hospital instead of start my two week roadtrip on Ozzfest as I was supposed to. So when there is a date 20 minutes away from my house, and I know Rob Zombie is going to be there...as long as I'm not internally bleeding, fuck it, I'm going.

Interesting day to say the least. I took it real easy. Didn't drive, Lexx picked me up. Stayed hydrated. Didn't walk much, stayed out of the crowd. Started out with a Gizmachi guest pass, ended up with a Zombie working pass. And I'm going to do the gayest thing I said I'd never do, and get it laminated. Yes, I'm gay. Flaming. Fuck you. It's my idol, and I have his working pass.

Spent the day making my cordial rounds, saying my hellos, talking to new people, but mainly sticking with old friends. And Jada and Will Smith are two bad ass down to earth motherfuckers. Very cool people. It was a surprising shock. It's nice to see even millionaire actors remember they are people, and can have fun with us normal people, and forget their status...and let us forget it too.

Made my rounds between mainstage and second. Lisa made friends with one of the runners, so we got courtesy rides everywhere thankfully, which gave me the pleasant ability to not have to stay in one place for long, and also be able spend time with everyone I wanted to.

Apparently lots of silly girl games and drama occured, but luckily it was out of my sight and hearing. It was a very pleasant, relaxed, and fun day for me. A nice change of scenery from my four walls I've been staring at for the last two weeks of sickness.

I got approached and asked to go on a funnel cake date by a very nice young man. I can't remember for shit what band he was from and I think his name was Jimmy, but he was a charming experience for the day. lol. I can't say I've ever been on a funnel cake date..well now I have...and it was a swell little time, lol.

Since I got to speak to everyone I wanted to during the day, I had no need to stick around after the show. No partying like a rockstar for me. I knew my sickly limits...and I'm getting too old for that shit these days anyway, lol.

Lexx, thank you for everything. The whole day wouldn't have been possible for me without you. Love you much dear. :)

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Jessica, Diedre (and respectively new aquaintence Sarah), it was great to see you. Hopefully Diedre, we can make this more than a once a year occurance.

That is all. :)
