so, how many times can i start the same glove?  apparently at least 4.  today i was knitting along happily, got about an inch into the glove and realized that i was using the wrong ribbing pattern.  d'oh!  yesterday i was, er, too relaxed and kept dropping stitches through inattention.  yesterday morning it was a case of way-too-tight-tension.  i don't even remember what went wrong the first time.  and this is glove 2 in a pair - and i made the same pattern in december.  bah.  i feel dumb.  but at least it's only a inch not a yard......  and it's easy-peasy once i remember which pattern to use.  so i rip [again] and re-start.

but it does make one feel dumb.

and i'm not even going to mention out loud how i forgot to swatch.... luckily the gauge i'm getting when i pay attention works perfectly for the recipient.  don't forget the swatch, kids.  it's key.
