Wake me up when September ends

Sep 11, 2007 08:27

It's september 11 again. Years sure fly fast. It's been six years since I watched that news broadcast on that small TV in the so very crowded lobby of the building where I used to work. I was about to make a "Where were you on 9/11" type of post today, but I realized I did that very thing last year. I had the option of copy and pasting the whole post... Or making something new.

I don't think there's anything left to say about that sad day in history. A day where not only the United States (as a sexy american woman I love seems to think ;) ), but the whole western world, our cultures and our ideals were targeted.

Every year, I dedicate one minute of silence to the poor WTC victims and their families.

Will the world be at peace someday? Maybe a planetary-scale alien invasion would finally make us all work together for good. (But then, we might end in a second cold war after reducing our invaders to smithereens. Darn)

On a lighter note... did you guys see the lovely pictures Kit took while she was in Quebec city with me? She has a ton of those, check them out. It's so fun to see my everyday world seen through the eyes of a "foreigner". All those things I take for granted appear new and exciting to her. This really makes me see my surroundings in a whole new light!

Oh, and if you couldn't tell, I feel better than yesterday. I must thank Kit for that. :)
