Boycotts
I was recently urged to boycott McDonald's. Now I am sure many of you can think of a lot of reasons to boycott Mickey D's. However, this boycott was bizarre. It wasn't an effort to get McDonald's to do anything themselves. Rather it was an effort to make one of McDonald's suppliers do something. One wonders where this will end. How many innocent parties can you fairly interpose between you and ultimate object of your boycott? The boycott of everything from Denmark to protest the actions of one newspaper come to mind. What makes people think this is even remotely just?
