life of a german j-pop fan
some weeks ago one of my colleagues visited me at home. while we were talking, she stared at my kat-tun poster for several minutes. somehow i just waited for a stupid question…
finally she said: “hey, are you into those chinese?”
i looked at her and replied: “well, actually they’re japanese, but yes, i’m into them.”
yesterday i spent some time at the computer room at my university. of course i had my disk with me. my roommate had decorated it with some news stickers for me so it doesn’t look boring any more.
one of my fellow students happened to sit at the computer next to mine. before she left, she reached for my disk and asked: “WHAT is THAT???”
i was so puzzled that i could only answer: “THAT is NEWS!” of course she didn’t know them and i had to add that they’re a japanese band. it’s her birthday next week. perhaps i should give her a special cd as a present!
