Memories...

Because I don't think I've written it down ever, and because tniassaint & macabredelight are so cute with their battling stories about their first kiss...

How Phil and I met!

Alright, so... it was late 1997, and I was a bright eyed, EXTREMELY niave freshman at GCSU. For me, it was a strangly brave step to go to a college where I knew NO ONE. I was enjoying the gorgeous fall days, meeting new people, feeling grown-up, and oh-so clever.

Back in the dark ages of the internet, not everybody was so used to that newish medium, and things like our school-wide e-mail system dazzled many many young students. I was fortunate that we had had internet in our home for a few years, but many students found the student_all@bobcat.gscu.edu feature ADDICTIVE! So everymorning, I'd wake up, and sift through the 100 or so chainmail letters that would be sent by a 100 n00bs to the entire student body before I went to my first class or my radio show in my PJs and clogs.

One day, I got TIRED of it all! In a rage, I picked one of the asshole's names, the dumbest name that I saw. Phillip Viohl. Guh. I had spotted his name nearly everyday attached to one or more dumb chain-mail letter. I sent him a SCATHING letter, all about how we are in COLLEGE, NOT KINDERGARTEN and to please grow up, stat.
Poor, poor Phil... he should have just let it go! Within an hour, I was sitting in my best friend, Nate's, dorm, and up pops a reply from this Viohl kid!! Oh! It was SARCASTIC... but there was something about that smart ass begging for my forgiveness that made me giggle. I shot him back an e-mail, saying that the only way I would forgive him is if he would call in to my Midnight radio show.

Well, he did, and soon, the Carrie Fleetwood fan club was started (the members were Phil and his roomie, Jeff.) After e-mailing and calling everyday for three weeks, we finally decided to meet at the city's coolest coffee shop, Brewers. We met at 3:00 in the afternoon, and have been together everyday ever since.
