REWATCH POST
Stage Fright/Gray Hour
I ask lots of questions about everything because I'm that way.
STAGE FRIGHT
'Someone's always watching'. When you first were watching the show, do you remember what you thought of that? How much of the weird omnipresent force of Rossum did you attribute to Adelle? How much power did you think she had at this point in the series?
Adelle is very comfortable with Biz, and is one of the few non-Dollhouse personnel we see her being friends with, she's also comfortable enough to drink with him. Given the brief glimpses we have, what did you think her personal life was like?
Do you ever take any other context from her remark 'and to think some people don't believe in ever lasting love' other than snark towards the stalker?
This episode reveals the identity of Victor, how badly did you freak out when you first saw it? Did you start assuming anyone could be a Doll at that point?
Dominic apparently was the one to suggest sending Sierra in as back up. How frequently do you think Adelle takes his advice on these matters? How involved is he in engagements?
They appear to have a conversation of eyebrows and nods underneath everything else. They are awesome, no?
Dominic manhandles Topher, but he doesn't seem to mind much. Topher is even very assured and pushes back. What makes him so confident he can do whatever he wants in response to Dominic? Do you think he just believes his position grants him more standing?
Adelle lets Echo go through with the kidnapping. Why do you think she lets her adapt? After what happened with Alpha, why do you think she would risk this?
Dominic and Adelle have a little domestic dispute at the end, but we don't see how it ends. How frequently do you think they argue like that? He's her head of security, why do you think she lets him have so much input?
GRAY HOUR
Adelle seems nervous on the phone, and is hung up on before she finished speaking. What do you suppose she's been witness to make her fear her bosses?
Ballard is obviously a known threat to the whole company, yet in the pilot it's revealed someone in the FBI is keeping him on task. Do you suppose Rossum just wants a fall guy, or someone was legitimately trying to investigate the Dollhouse?
Despite all the crazy, Adelle never loses her cool. What do you think would have to happen in order for her to actually freak out?
Dominic tilts his head and looks at Adelle while Topher is talking about the remote wipe, obviously a 'ma'am, I'm tired of this BS, may I hit him?' or something along those lines.
Adelle seems marginally sad that they might have to lose Echo. What do you think her relationship with the Dolls, and her obligation to their original personalities, are?
Dominic constantly looks to Adelle for cues during the countdown to the end of the Gray Hour. What do you think he was waiting for?
Adelle doesn't want to order Boyd to kill Echo. Was it strictly a thought on practicality, or did she not want to even have to ask him to hurt someone he obviously cared about?
Dominic apologizes when it seems that Echo is going to have to die, he appears genuine in that regard. Do you feel he's sad for Adelle, or the general loss of life?
Adelle already had the papers ready in order to let Topher learn about Alpha. Why?
She calls Alpha's abilities 'gifts' what do you think of that?
When you were first watching the show, what did you think of Alpha at this point?
And anything else you care to discuss!
