Well Cuzco is a bit poo. (its just a bunch of ruins) After Arequipa and all the hype surrounding Cuzco it certainly isnt THE place in Peru. I suppose it hasnt helped that i arrived at 6am and still nackered/no energy after having the squits. Went around 5 hostels and all were full until i stumble accross a dark cold nasty hole of a little room but it was only 6quid a night and i was getting well cheesed off.

Spent the day yesterday walking about town and got compeltly lost which i enjoy doing as its the best way to get to know a place. i walked for a about an hour round and about the back streets and looked up and realised that i was ´the only Gringo in the village´ and got a bit parinoid so headed back to the central plaza.

Bumped into some people i had been travelling with previously (tom&cath who were on the 4 day desert trip) so it was nice to have some people to chat and catch up with.

Todays plan is to sort out wether i want to do a 5 day treck upto machupicchu or just do it in 2 days and then do a 7-8 day treck to Shuka Kera (big question on spelling). Shuka Kera is the alternative machupicchu it was only discovered in the 90s and is twice the size and still covered with jungle. Which ever one i choose its not goign to be cheap... $250! Still the train and entrance fee to machupicchu is about $120!

Oh decisions... decisions... woe is me...

Right off to find a hostel with hot showers!
