The Aurora is an amazing thing to see in its glory. Finally, last night, the show we have been waiting for came to town. Rippling, flowing colors that washed across the sky from horizon to horizon. I only saw them once in Scotland, and for a short time. There was a strange atmospheric thing going on because they normally don't go as far south as Edinburgh. I walked out of a shop to see all of these people looking up at the sky. When I looked, there was this brilliant greenish-blue swirling. It didn't last very long but it was beautiful.

Greetings, Mark! I opened Rumors of Spring and found a slip of paper with a little note from you on it!

So now you and the fam are embedded in my frontal lobe where I can summon you readily, but I'd much prefer some actual real words from you.

Feliciations and many happy returns of the day! (because any day can be groovy). On second thought, let's not hope for a return of this day, but rather whole fresh new ones equally cool.

Let's hear it for fresh, new, groovy days. (*That* sounds like I'm channeling the Debzter, heh.)

and...

Actual real words? I'd like that. So yes, let's make that happen.

By the way, I did a piece titled "Rumors of Spring" this year. Look here: http://pics.livejournal.com/dewgeist/

I ought to know better by now how life works -but that would spoil the constant surprises it deals out. Wonderful to hear from you.

a memory opens a door, then closes it, then a knock, and the memory itself returns.

watching from distance, there is a smile. still worth it... still.
