Ah, the wretched month of July, also known as the month of Hell, is finally over! Thank God! And that means, football season, the greatest time of the year, is right around the corner. Yay, yay!
It has been a trying time. My publisher of the last five years left a few weeks ago to take another job. That came a month after my sports editor, and one of my best friends, also left to take another job. A few days after the publisher, who is like family to me also left, my news reporter announced her retirement.
So, you can say my editorial staff has been in shambles as of late. The new publisher, well, I like her, but my jury is still out. I am a little disappointed that I didn't get it. My hope was the former publisher would stay a few more years, get me ready to take over, before she left. Obviously, that plan is now shot all to hell.
So, I am at a bit of a crossroads in life. The new publisher is the same age as me, meaning she may be there forever. And the main reason I have stayed as long as I have is because I always thought it was my destiny to take over one day. So, I am unsure what I am going to do.
In the meantime, I am having to piece together an editorial staff. Fun times, let me tell ya. It looks like it will be me and three teenagers. Good ones though, but still teenagers.
So anyways, there's only like two people who might read this. ha ha. So, with that said, April I hope you are doing good. And Jess, hope things are going good with all you have had going on as well. Take care both of ya...
