Alive and Well

Actually, I'm oddly tired-but-not-sleepy and zombielike this evening. But there's beef stew going, I'm making inroads on the huge stack of dirty dishes, and I successfully replaced the Cavalier's blower motor without setting off the air bags or injuring myself in any way.

It was actually a super-simple job: undo three small bolts, pull out blower, unplug an electrical connector, and then reverse to install new blower. Took time mostly because the bolts were slightly long and inconveniently placed. That, and I get oddly disoriented when working upside down/on my back with my head lower than my shoulders. But still! It is done. Which is a very good thing. :-)

(For those curious, I did just disconnect the battery and then wait for residual charge to drain from the airbag system, then kept my head and body below the level of the airbag and made sure not to rummage around in any wiring that wasn't directly attached to the work at hand. No endless wiring-disconnecting or other brouhaha. Turned out fine.)
