Holy crackers! The last time I posted anything about myself on here was March 28th. Fear the narcissism, for I shall summerize the past month of my life!
Busy.
For the last little while I've been helping to throw together an anti-bullying presentation to show the Grade 8 religion classes. It seems kind of rediculous. Its not like we have anything profound to say, and by Grade 8 bullies will keep being the assholes that they are. Ah well. I can always just look on the bright side of this which is...
umm...
nuts.
On to different things, my parents have been in Europe for the last 2 weeks, and won't be home until Tuesday. Horrah! I've been sharing the house with my sister, which is to say we largely ignore each other. I subsist mainly on burritos and noodles.
Last Saturday something nasty happened to my elbow. By Saturday evening it felt like all the tendons had been stretched, and I was entertaining thoughts of lasting problems and torn tissue. But hey, just take some asprine and make sure you don't move too much in your sleep and the teenage body can heal most anything. By the next morning it was almost fine! The pain came in waves now rather than being constant. Oh yes, and it made lovely loud popping noises when I flexed it. And I then moseyed down to work and used it for heavy lifting.
Not the brightest thing I've ever done to an injury, but not the dumbest by far.
Its fine now. Healed just in time for the cold. Which left me with a sore throat since a week ago. I've been trying to hack up one of my lungs ever since. So far I've been unsuccessful, but I did piss off one person in my anthro class, in which I've got to write a 2000 word essay on how the media is causing and increase in the number of teenage girls with eating disorders.
On to happier things, I've finally got some money saved up again. Now I can return to taking pictures of anything and everything. What with being able to afford film now and all.
Aaaannd... It sounds like some of my photos will be appearing in that paper thingy the school is getting published. With my name on the photos. Here's hoping they make it in.
A friend lent me a CD. Its by a guy called Chris de Burge. Its damn good if you like that sort of genre. Its got a song about how the Devil beats God in a poker game by cheating. The wager was 105,000 souls.
I've played and beating Jade Empire, an RPG for the Xbox. This marks the first time I've beating a game in under a week and a half on the first time through I think.
My knee still bends past straight. Very annoying, and kinda painful. Oh, and I met this guy who was crazily flexable. He can spread his legs to 170 degrees apart, and then rest his entire upper body on the floor. Whoa O_o.
My room is now blue. Deep blue.
Aaannd... I have finally seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Not as funny as I thought it would be, but very funny none the less.
And Saturday I'm off to see... Kingdom of Heaven! The battles! The epic story! The blood! The gore! The trebuches flinging flamming projectiles into the castle walls!
Star Wars can wait.
And last, but by no means least: I'll probably be testing for my yellow belt this June. So I'm rushing to smooth out the wrinkles in this one throw so I can do well if I am invited to test. If I'm not tested, I'll be waiting until at least November.
