Author's Notes My muse for this fic was inspired by this. I loved that scene and wish that TPTB hadn't seen fit to grace the cutting room floor with it. So the muse poked and prodded and Sometimes Goodbye is a Second Chance was the result. Yes, it was way longer than I intended encompassing not only Season 1 but Samson and Delilah from Season 2 as well.
The title for this fic was borrowed from an amazing song entitled Second Chance by the group Shinedown. Definitely, worth a listen.
